2 K9 Club Dogs For Adoption

OFFERED FOR ADOPTION BY K9 CLUB / Page 2

Patsy was found in the middle of the countryside by English holidaymakers renting a finca near to where they rescued her. They kept her with them for a few days whilst they searched locally to see if she had escaped. They did not find her home and as they were returning to the UK they have asked us to rehome her.  Patsy is 3 years, she a very pleasant and appealing little dog with a quiet laid back personality. She is however an escape artist and will need to be in a home with a secure boundary as she will grasp any opportunity to get out and see the sites on her own!

Harvey the 1 year Dalmation was found on the outskirts of an urbanisation at the side of a main road. After examination by our vet she told us that he was probably hit by a car because he had a hairline fracture in his left leg, he also had a bruised left eye and he had bitten his tongue, injuries consistent with a collision with a vehicle. He is receiving treatment for this and it is hoped that he will make as full recovery. He is a lovely boy.

Nuka was found outside the gates of a house of a lady living on her own along with her small puppy that was by her side. Nuka is a very small dog with a very pleasant personality. She likes nothing more than to sit on your lap. She is 18 months and will make a great lap dog.

This dog is one of five that we rescued from the fields. After being abandoned by someone driving a white van they were being hunted and shot at by the locals. Lori (named after the lady that informed us of their predicament) is a beautiful, slightly timid German Shepherd that needs lots of TLC. We rescued her along with the other four dogs. Lori has now recovered from her ordeal thanks to a K9 Club committee member that is fostering her. She is very sociable and good with other dogs and cats. Despite her ordeal she loves all people.

Lisa is a very appealing Pointer cross, just 3 months old. She was rescued after a man and his daughter abandoned her next to a bin in Santa Pola. She is in a pen with three cats and so she can live with cats, people and other dogs without any problems.

This small puppy is 12 weeks old. One of our volunteers saw an English man putting her and another pup into a large green basura bin close to Santa Pola. She tackled him as he was dropping them in and he reacted violently and assaulted her. He also grabbed her phone and threw it away from her as she was trying to call the authorities. She rescued the puppies from the basura. Holly has a great temperament and will make a great lap dog.

Pepe the pointer was found by a lady as she was walking her dog on an urbanisation. She noticed that he kept looking at all the cars that passed by, an indication that he had been dumped from a car. He had a large abscess below his jaw that was caused by a blocked saliva gland. He was in hospital for a few days to receive treatment for this. He is a very appealing dog that just wants to be loved. Pepe is approx 4 years and very obedient.

Milo is a long haired Shepherd. He was rescued from a Spanish family that kept him in a small courtyard at the back of the house permanently secured on a short chain, never taken for a walk. He has a great personality and is now ready for a new home where he will have a lot more freedom, and surely taken for a walk now and then. Milo is aged 21 months.

Brandy was seen roaming near to a beach restaurant by a lady when she was walking in the area. She searched around to ask if anyone knew where the dog belonged but nobody recognised him. He is a very obedient and loving dog that has obviously been around people all his life. He is approx 2 years old and in very good condition. He is good walking on a lead and we believe that he has previously been with English people. He is available for temporary fostering or for adoption.

This dog has been seen for many weeks living in a water storage tank depot close to an urbanisation. He was being cared for by a worker that visited the location regularly. However, when he was not there the dog kept escaping and wandering onto a busy main road. We rescued him to save him from harm. He is 11 months old and very appealing. He loves everyone and is very trusting. We have named him Lucky.

Bobby was rescued from a finca the day before he was due to be put to sleep, he is now in a foster home. He is an 12 months old Alsatian cross, a little nervous when you first meet him but once he gets to know you he is a real character. When he is at ease he loves to run around and play.

Bart was rescued after he was seen in a derelict building by one of our volunteers, starving and very thin. It looked like he had been there for quite a while. He is very small and very cute. He was found with a larger dog, a German Shepherd cross, they had both been abandoned and were keeping each other company. He is 3 years and will make a great little pet.

This dog was found in a derelict building with a smaller dog. They had been there for some time. He was starving and on initial inspection it was obvious that he had been attacked by a larger dog because he had wounds to his right hip and his right ear.  This has been treated by our vet and he is expected to make a full recovery. He is a medium size German Shepherd cross, just 15 months old, a very friendly dog. We have named him Homer and he is now available for adoption.

This dog has been seen wandering around the beach area close to the village of La Marina. A lady walking her dog in the area, after seeing him there for so long decided to rescue him. She was not able to keep him in her house and so she contacted us. He has a delightful personality, a very gentle and easy going character. He likes to be near to people. He is just 9 months old and walks good on a lead. He is currently in a foster home and available for adoption. We have named him Guapo.

Ricky is an American Stafford cross. He is a gentle and friendly dog that loves to play and then rest in his bed. He is approx 3 years old and very good on a lead. He is good with people and with other dogs.

We placed a plea on the Latest News page of our web site for help to save Tallulah from being destroyed by her owner because she was returning to the UK. On what was to be her last day we received a donation from one of our supporters in the UK that enabled us to save Tallulah and for her to stay temporarily in private kennels. She is an adorable small dog, at least she is in her own mind, she does not know that she is really a small dog in a large body. Tallulah is a 2 year old Spanish Mastin cross, a gentle giant. She is an adorable and responsive dog. She is very loving and likes a cuddle.
